How to Install Delphi / Autocom 2021.10b on Windows
This guide walks through installing Delphi 2021.10b, setting up the right drivers, and adding a Windows Defender exception so your files don't get deleted during installation.
1. Download and extract the files

- Download
Delphi_2021.10b.zipfrom your customer account or the product page. - Extract the archive into a standard folder (avoid extracting directly into "Downloads" or onto an external drive).
- Make sure every file is fully extracted before moving on.
2. Add a Windows Defender exception
Windows Defender can delete certain Delphi/AutoCom files because they don't carry a recognized digital signature. If that happens during installation, the software will fail to launch afterward. Temporarily disabling real-time protection and excluding the install folder prevents this.
Step 1 — Open Windows Security
- Press Windows + S, type Windows Security, and open the app.
- Click Virus & threat protection.
- Under "Virus & threat protection settings", click Manage settings.
Step 2 — Disable real-time protection
- Find Real-time protection.
- Turn it off using the toggle.

Keep this disabled for the entire installation.
Step 3 — Add an exclusion
- Scroll down and click Add or remove exclusions under "Exclusions".
- Click Add an exclusion → Folder.
- Select the software's install folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Delphi 2021.10b - AutoCom: select whichever folder you chose during installation.

- Confirm the exclusion.

The install folder is now excluded from Windows Defender — no more risk of files being deleted, and no launch errors caused by missing files.
3. Install Delphi/AUTOCOM 2021.10b and the drivers

- Open the extracted folder and run
Delphi 2021.10b Cars & Trucks.exe. - Follow the on-screen instructions.
- When prompted, enter the installation password provided with your software.
Select the driver matching your probe:
- Type 1 — 2-board PCB VCI → Firmware 1622
- Type 2 — 1-board PCB VCI → Firmware 3201
- Continue the installation, confirming each step.
- When Windows asks to confirm the driver installation, accept and confirm.
4. Activate the software

- Launch Delphi 2021.10b after installation.
- On first launch, you'll be asked for a license key.
- Contact our customer support to get your activation key.
- Send us the Activation ID shown in the software.
- We'll send back your Activation code.
- Enter the code in the software to complete activation.
✅ Installation complete — once activated, Delphi/Autocom 2021.10b is ready to use.
