During installation, some text may display as garbled or unreadable characters. This is normal — it depends on the Windows encoding used by certain installers.
⚙️ Before you start
Before beginning, make sure you have:
- A PC running Windows 7 / 8 / 10 / 11 (64-bit)
- Extracted the provided archive (using WinRAR or 7-Zip)
- Administrator rights on your Windows session
- Temporarily disabled your antivirus and Windows Defender during installation
- Run installers via right-click → Run as administrator
🗂️ Step 1 — Extracting the archive
- Locate the downloaded archive.
- Right-click → Extract Here (or use WinRAR / 7-Zip).
- Once extracted, you'll get a folder containing the installer file.
🧱 Step 2 — Creating and excluding the AWRoot folder
- Create the folder:
C:\AWRoot - Add
C:\AWRootto the exclusions of your antivirus and Windows Defender.

💿 Step 3 — Installing the software (native installation)
- In the extracted folder, locate the installer file.
- Right-click → Run as administrator.
- Follow the wizard to the end (don't close the window before it's done).

🧠 Step 4 — Installing the drivers
- On the desktop (or in the install folder), locate the driver installer file.
- Double-click to start the driver installation.

- Connect your interface to the computer.
- Open Device Manager.
- Check that it's recognized under: ACTIA USB Devices.

- Launch the application.
- On first launch, the interface may open in a different language.
Changing the language
- If asked to check for updates: click No.
- Click the icon in the top-left corner of the main screen.
- Open Settings / Configuration.
- Choose the language option, then select English.
- Close and relaunch the application.
🔄 Step 7 — Interface update (if prompted)
- If an automatic interface update appears, let it finish.
- Do not unplug the interface during this step.
✅ Step 8 — Final check
- Connect the interface to the vehicle and the PC.
- Launch the application from the desktop shortcut.
- Check that:
- the interface is detected,
- the PSA home screen displays,
- vehicle communication is working.
